Film companies research

Film production companies I've looked into;

• 20th Century Fox
• Paramount 
• Lionsgate 
• Hammer  

These are the most popular film production companies to distribute thriller movies. Me and my group would like to use 20th Century Fox for our film production. This is due to the fact they make similar films to our thriller opening ideas for example What Lies Beneath. If this was our actual film production company then we would chose it because they are a large and well known film company, and therefore would attract more viewers. 20th Century Fox is an American company, we would chose this company because they make some of the best films and therefore would give our thriller a good chance at succeeding.  

We decided to reject the other film companies such as Paramount and Lionsgate because less thriller movies were made by them. In addition to this, film companies like paramount make more horror movies than they do thrillers, we wanted to chose a well known film production company for thriller movies, this is due to the fact it will look better on our film opening rather than any of the others. Also if we chose a well known company for horror films, then our audience may become confused on the genre of our film. 

About 20th Century Fox 

20th Century Fox is a film company founded in May 1935 by Jospech M Schenck. They have headquarters in Fox Plaza, Century City, Los Angeles, California and the United States. 

They have created popular films such as Xmen, Rise of the Planet Apes and the Maze Runner. 

They are on of the most famous film production companies and therefore I am happy that we have chosen them for our production company.
