Preliminary Task- Mise en Scene

For this Preliminary Task we didn't have the correct appliances for mise en scene, this is because this is our first filming task, we did not have many props and couldn't organise things such as the lighting.

Although we found Mise en Scene an awkward thing to include in our film, I feel like I have learnt more about it for example we wanted the location to be in a school, this is because it was filmed in our school and therefore we where wearing smart uniform and had props such as our school badges and the computers. The fact that we had school related objects made it clear to the audience where the short film was based (it was also made clear the setting was in a school due to the use of the school bell) 

In my thriller coursework I will have to make sure I have things such as props and good lighting to suit the genre, I will be able to do this task better this is because I will have more time to organise it.
